US Navy Blue Angels to Perform at Thunder Over Utah Air Show

The United States Navy Blue Angels will headline the newly created Thunder Over Utah Air Show in St. George, Utah on March 17th & 18th. The show will be held at the new St. George Municipal Airport, which opened in January of this year. Tickets for the show are now on sale at www.ThunderOverUtah.com and early bird discounts are available through December 25th.

The Blue Angels are known for their precision formation flying and are a crowd favorite throughout the world. Flying their six distinctive blue and gold F-18 Hornets, the Blue Angels are ambassadors for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. This is the first time in history that the Blue Angels will bring their adrenaline-rushing performance to picturesque southern Utah.

The Blue Angels lead a sensational lineup of the top air show acts on the circuit. In addition to the Blue Angels will be the P-51D “Hell ‘er Bust” an iconic WWII aircraft, a live WWII battle with armor, infantry, and aircraft along with a full slate of static displays and kid-friendly attractions.

A variety of ticket options are available for budgets of every size. All spectators will require a General Admission ticket for entry. General Admission tickets will cost $25 on site the day of the event but will be discounted in advance by purchasing online for $15 prior to December 25th and $20 from December 26th – March 18th, 2012 at Noon. General Admission for children 15 and under is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle in advance and $10 on site.

In addition to General Admission there are a variety of premium seating options available to allow fans to watch the show in comfort from a seat along the flightline. All premium seats first require purchase of a General Admission ticket. The Bomber Club is a spacious tented area that will provide shade and chairs along with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages along with access to non-public portable restrooms. The Fighter Club provides all the amenities of the Bomber Club along with an outstanding buffet lunch and complimentary beverages of beer, soda, and water. The Officers Club offers the ultimate air show fan experience and includes prime seating on the flightline, a catered breakfast , grilled luncheon entrees, an afternoon old fashioned ice cream sundae bar, and snacks and appetizers served throughout the day. The Officers Club also features complimentary premium beverage service of beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks, and water and guests of the Officers Club will have exclusive access to private air conditioned restroom facilities.

Winter Schedule in Zion National Park

The Zion Canyon Shuttle and the Springdale Shuttle will resume regular service on April 1, 2012.

For visitors interested in spending the night in the park this winter, the Watchman Campground and Zion Lodge are open year-round. During a trip, the public is encouraged to visit the Zion Canyon Visitor Center for information on park activities and trail conditions.

This facility is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The Kolob Canyons Visitor Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
